When did it spread best through my hair?
I used it after washing and towel-drying, while my hair was still damp. The white foam came out fluffy, a little like shaving foam, but quickly collapsed into a much lighter texture between my hands. I worked it through the middle lengths and ends, then dried my hair without rinsing.
For me, it spread more evenly while there was still a little water in my hair than when my hair was already half-dry. That timing mattered more to my experience than piling on extra product. The comb in the set had thick, widely spaced teeth and tugged less when I used it on wet hair.
What changed after drying?
The ends felt less stiff and the strands felt smoother between my fingers after blow-drying. I also sometimes added a little to half-dry hair before bed; my flyaways seemed calmer the next morning. Those are observations about how my hair felt and looked, not a test of damage repair or heat protection.
The scent struck me as a soft citrus fragrance. It was noticeable just after application but did not stay strongly perfumed in my hair. If you want a lasting hair fragrance, my experience was of a much subtler scent.
Is this Olive Young buy worth the price?
It was easy to dispense too much. This is not a pump that gives me a neatly measured dose: pressing carelessly released a surprisingly large amount. A very gentle press helped, but I still used it up more quickly than expected. I did not track the number of uses, so I cannot give a cost per application.
I liked the soft finish enough to consider it again, especially in a discounted set. At full price, the rate of use would matter more to me. If your priority is a precisely measured, economical dispenser, that is the part I would weigh against the comfortable feel.
