K-Tour Pass gives foreign tourists a ₩15,000 package of transport discounts, a WOWPASS card and a choice of one participating attraction. Benefits include an AREX Express discount plus either a Busan-bound transport coupon or a Korail Pass discount. Here is what each option includes, where to buy it and how to start using it.
Checked October 2, 2026. This is a researched buying guide, not a first-hand test of the pass.
What benefits do you get for ₩15,000?
Korea’s Busan pilot launched on October 1, 2026 for foreign tourists. Two options cost ₩15,000 each: one targets a journey to Busan; the other discounts a separate Korail Pass purchase. Both include one admission from 35 participating attractions and offers at 50 partner businesses. Online purchases are available through Klook and Webtour’s HopnHop. These launch details are confirmed in the government’s English announcement.
Which option fits your trip?
| Option | Main transport coupon | Start here if… |
|---|---|---|
| Pass 1 | 40% off eligible Busan-bound transport; maximum ₩24,000 | You need a journey to Busan |
| Pass 2 | ₩24,000 off a Korail Pass | You already intend to buy that rail pass |
Both include an AREX one-way coupon: 50% off, capped at ₩6,000. The October 1 MoneyToday report identifies the airport service as the Express train. Use this benefit when booking the eligible AREX Express service; local airport journeys use a separate fare.
How can you work out your savings?
Compare the final checkout totals for the same journey with and without the bundle. Subtract the ₩15,000 purchase price from discounts you will actually redeem. Add an attraction’s value only if you would otherwise pay to visit it. This lets you compare the package with the tickets you were already planning to buy.
Illustrative calculation, not a quoted fare: if an eligible ticket costs ₩40,000 and the full 40% reduction applies, the discount is ₩16,000. After paying for the bundle, the transport-only saving is ₩1,000. This example assumes no other price differences or charges; verify the actual checkout before buying.
The benefits have different coverage: the Busan-bound coupon and participating attraction admission support a Busan visit, while the AREX Express coupon covers the eligible airport service. The WOWPASS is a payment tool with separately loaded funds, not an unlimited-ride ticket. For local airport travel, compare fares in our T-money and single-ticket comparison.
How do you buy, collect and use K-Tour Pass?
Buy your chosen option through Klook or HopnHop, then keep the issued mobile ticket and voucher available on your phone. The physical card can be collected at designated kiosks at Incheon, Gimpo or Gimhae airports, or Seoul and Busan stations. The digital barcode handles attraction benefits; card collection is a separate step. See the government announcement above for the collection locations.
KTO requires your passport and eight-digit voucher number for collection. The included WOWPASS starts with no balance; its T-money balance needs separate funding. KTO specifies Korean-won-only loading at the Incheon kiosk. Coupons and the mobile ticket expire December 31, 2026. Present the live mobile barcode, not a screenshot. Check the official KTO benefits and refund conditions before activating anything: registering a coupon or looking up the WOWPASS issuance code can remove refund eligibility.
Frequently asked questions
Does ₩15,000 include my rail fare? No: budget for the remaining fare or rail-pass purchase after the applicable discount. Compare the total, not just the coupon percentage.
Can I use it for every listed attraction? The included admission is one selection, not an unlimited attraction pass. Choose around your actual plans.
Can I use the airport discount during a connection? Match the AREX Express coupon to the journey you plan to take and check the total price before booking. For planning your time outside the terminal, use our Incheon layover planning guide and luggage storage guide before committing to an outing.
